This place is amazing! One of the best meals we had in Tokyo. Our expectations were excedded big time! Go try it
Morevery good quelity and cheap
24/11/17Great Japanese pork cutlet and very delicious. The meal comes with a bowl of rice and soup. A must try restaurant.
MoreThe pork is juicy and tender. Ordered a normal and premium set, both were fantastic. Price is very reasonable and value for money. There is also an english menu available and the wait was not too long.
MoreCheap and yummy food :D
Awesome tonkatsu in the heart of Ameyoko market. The price is fair but the place is very small, I queued outside for some minutes! You sit directly at the counter and the food is prepared in front of you. Very "local vibe", I was the only foreigner and people kept queueing.
MoreSo far the best tonkatsu I had in Tokyo
Good price 750¥-1260 , yammmyyy
Juicy delicious deep fried crumbed pork cutlets (tonkatsu) at great prices. Table seating upstairs for groups up to 4. Counter seating for singles/couples. Its a tight fit but the food makes it worth it.
MoreNice staff, set meal provided, soft fried pork chop
Deep fried pork goodness and Friendly staffThe staff speak limited English but were very understanding to pass the menu in different in languages to me. I ordered the (big) tonkatsu set. It came with a big piece of tonkatsu, clam miso soup, pickles, and rice. It was such a fulfilling meal, the tonkatsu was very juicy and tasty. Service was excellent.
MorePlace was packed with mostly locals. One of the best tonkatsu I have had in japan. Highly recommend for its friendly staff and the price point (950 yen)!
MoreSuch a fantastic food here!!! Rcmd Hire gatsu!!!!
The pork is juicy and delicious, and the services are good. Definitely will come again.
MoreTraditional tonkatsu restaurant which is patronised mostly by locals. They have a limited English menu. Come hungry, because their rice portion is huge. You can request for just half portion of rice though. Pork cutlet (the rosu fillet) is very tender and juicy. Their miso soup has lots of mini clams - which added a natural sweetness to the soup. Would definitely recommend.
MoreSuperb taste. Cheap. Great and friendly service.
This restaurant offers jaws dropping pork cutlet also known as Tonkatsu. Be aware that the place is very appreciated by the locals thus you will have to wait in order by sitting on the front chairs for someone to get you in. Best for dinner you can eat for 1000 to 1500 yens its cheap yet amazing. Expect it to be full as soon as its opening but you wont wait for more that 40minutes usualy.
MoreTheir tonkatsu melts in your mouth!! Yummy!!
The best Katsudon I have ever tried.
Best tonkatsu I had in my life! Amazing
The best pork tonkatsu I have ever had. Every year I visit Japan, I always make a trip here .
MoreSpecial Tonkatsu was extremely juicy. Well worth it.
Enormous set meal for very reasonable prices. Have the big pork fillet, you won't regret it
MoreDelicious! Great spot. Tonkatsu was amazing.
Delicious Tonkutsu at a very reasonable price! Friendly staff.
Just One Word: Amazing
Amazing pork cutlets, the Japanese special pork was especially good. Great prices too!
MoreOne of the best pork cutlet I ever had plus excellent service.
Read some good reviews about this place and my first meal after touch down. Its reasonable as mentioned. Taste pretty good. Had the special pork loin, freshly fried and juicy for 1200 yen. I was there between 1100-1130hr, so there's no queue. Once after 1130hr, the lunch crowd keep coming in. Do take note of timing if you wanna Miss the queue.
MoreVery reasonably priced Tonkatsu with generous serving. The fillet is very soft. The loin is juicy. Didnt need to wait for long to get a seat.
MoreCheap and delicious tonkatsu, it automatically became one of my favorite cheap tonkatsus
MoreHad it a couple of years ago, still remember how good it was. In fact, it was the best thing I ate in Japan last trip. Will go back again this year.
MoreDelicious Tonkatsu, it has a nice crunch and is really tender and juicy in the inside. The salad was fresh, soup was nice and the mustard was very spicey becarefull with that. You probally have to wait outside because it's very popular.
MoreOrdered the Large Pork Loin set(970yen). The tonkatsu was fried fresh to order and was probably about 300g. Tender and crispy but not the best I had in Tokyo. There is also miso soup with extra small clams for extra oomph. Rice portion is also larger than the norm. Probably the best quality and quantity to price ratio in Tokyo. Service was also very friendly and attentive.
MoreYou can enjoy very traditional deep fried pork chop, but the ventilation needs improvement
MoreVery impressed with their approach to efficiency. I got there with my two kids today at 11AM hoping to get in early and avoid taking up valuable seating as I expected to order only two sets to split among the three of us (kids are 4 and 8). But there was a huge line when I got there. So I missed the first wave of seating by 4 people. They took my order while I was in 1 of the 4 seats inside for waiting. They were very polite and had a menu for non-Japanese folks (English, Chinese and Korean it looks like). They gave me the choice of seating afterwards for upstairs (tables) or downstairs with bar. The chefs saw that I had little ones so they separated the mustard and also cut up the pork into smaller than usual pieces. They did not have any issues with my two orders for 3 seats. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. And the line was even longer when we left. Would go again.
MoreGood food great price. Nice thick tonkatsu.
Best Katsu ever had. Any of staff can’t speak English though no problems to order and check :) I visit 2-3 times. There is two stores in Ueno so if waiting line is long, check the other one. Full with local people all the times.
MoreThis place served great tonkatsu sets at very reasonable prices. Basically two types of tonkatsu and seafood mixed option. Crumb was super crispy and pork was tasty. There's usually a line outside but they have chairs outside to wait. They also take your order beforehand to streamline the service.Price range 1000-1500 for setsEnglish menu
MoreThe pork cutlet was softly, juicy and delicious, staff is friendly, nice, experience!
MoreCP TonkatsuFor the quality and price it is a pretty good deal, good CP as people say. But if your looking for something unforgettable then this is not the place.
MoreDelicious tasty fried pork served with matcha tea, miso soup and rice!
Queued for about half an hour but the crispy, tender and not at all oily tonkatsu was worth it. The accompanying miso soup was great too!
MoreHere is the best place Pork cuttlet. You should wait to have this at least 30min. But 30min is nothing when you taste this restaurant. Very nice food
MoreFelt really authentic food was great
Value for money. Will visit again
Delicious tonkatsu! Everything is simple and tasty. Little clams in the miso soup, crunch ness of the cabbage, yuzu in the raddish, and the light and flavorful tonkatsu sauce! The price is unbeatable and the service is genuine. There’s another (yet smaller) branch nearby so if the wait is long you can try the others too.
MoreVery good fried pork chops restaurant. Great service too.
Super delicious tonkatsu, reasonably price, big portion.
We walked by this place around its opening time, not knowing what it was. Yet there was a huge wait line outside in the cold. All local folks of all ages. We took that as a huge stamp of approval and we were right. The tonkatsu was delicious. Crunchiness, tenderness, sweetness, meatiness, freshness and spices worked together brilliantly.
